Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund

The CARES Act Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund-IHE/Student Aid provides funding to institutions to provide emergency financial aid grants to students whose lives have been disrupted, many of whom are facing financial challenges and struggling to make ends meet. 91自拍 cannot apply for assistance directly from the U.S. Department of Education but should contact their institutions for further information and guidance. Institutions have the responsibility of determining how grants will be distributed to students, how the amount of each student grant is calculated, and the development of any instructions or directions that are provided to students about the grant.

Institutional Acknowledgement:

91自拍 signed and returned to the Department of Education a certification and agreement certifying that the college will use 50% of the funds under section 18004(a)(1) of the CARES Act as well as HEERF II and HEERF III student aid allocations to provide Emergency Financial Aid Grants directly to students as required by the CRRSA and ARP Acts.

Amount of Student Emergency Aid Grants Received:

The total award amount received by 91自拍 of emergency aid going directly to students is $8,520,255. The student awards granted in excess of that figure have been awarded using 91自拍’s HEERF institutional funds.

The total amount of Emergency Financial Aid Grants distributed to students under Section 18004(a)(1) of the CARES Act.

Note: Spring 2022 and Fall 2022 students had the option to “opt-in” to apply their grant towards their bill for tuition and fees.

Note: There were 106 instances when CARES grants were returned in full or in part due to the student no longer qualifying for the aid. The total amount returned was $31,482.45.

The estimated total number of students at 91自拍 who are or could be eligible to participate in the Federal student financial aid programs under Section 484 of the Higher Education Act of 1965, as amended, and thus are eligible to receive Emergency Financial Aid Grants to students under Section 18004(a)(1) of the CARES Act.

As of December 9, 2022, 6,644 91自拍 students have received a total of 11,032 Emergency Financial Aid Grants funded through HEERF.

The methods used by 91自拍 to determine which students receive Emergency Financial Aid Grants and how much they would receive under Section 18004(a)(1) of the CARES Act.

A 91自拍 calling campaign was conducted in the spring 2020 semester immediately after student emergency aid funds were received by 91自拍 to identify the students who had been adversely impacted by COVID-19 and were experiencing the highest need. An initial 40 students were identified through the one-on-one calls followed by an additional 10 students in the summer semester. Emergency need-based aid was distributed immediately to the students identified through direct deposit if they had it set up through the college. Those who did not have direct deposit were sent a check.

The second distribution of funds were sent out to all students who were eligible for a summer 2020 award and were enrolled in at least 6 hours. Summer 2020 Emergency Aid was distributed to all eligible students through direct deposit if they had it set up through the college. Those who did not have direct deposit were sent a check.

The third distribution of funds were sent out to students enrolled in the fall 2020 term who completed an application and met the criteria specified for the award. Aid was distributed to all eligible students through direct deposit if they had it set up through the college. Those who did not have direct deposit were sent a check.

The fourth distribution of funds were sent out to students enrolled in the spring 2021 term who enrolled full-time or took all courses need to graduate with an associate’s credential in the spring term. Aid was distributed to all eligible students through direct deposit if they had it set up through the college. Those who did not have direct deposit were sent a check.

The fifth distribution of funds were sent out to all students who were eligible for a summer 2021 award and were enrolled in at least 6 hours. Summer 2021 Emergency Aid was distributed to all eligible students through direct deposit if they had it set up through the college. Those who did not have direct deposit were sent a check.

The seventh distribution of funds were sent out to students enrolled in the spring 2022 term who met the criteria specified for the award. Aid was distributed to all eligible students through direct deposit if they had it set up through the college. Those who did not have direct deposit were sent a check.

The eighth distribution of funds were sent out to students enrolled in the fall 2022 term who met the criteria specified for the award. Aid was distributed to all eligible students through direct deposit if they had it set up through the college. Those who did not have direct deposit were sent a check.
