Welcome 

Information and Technology Services (ITS) provides cost-effective, scalable, and functional technology and services to support teaching, learning, research, and administration. Our approach focuses on providing great customer service and being responsive, open-minded, and accountable using unique and adaptable designs and approach to meet institutional and individual needs.

The ITS Help Desk is located in the One College Centre (OCC) on the Temple campus. For technology assistance with items such as a user name and/or password, difficulty logging into SelfService, email, a campus computer, or troubleshooting error messages received while trying to access computer resources, please call the ITS Help Desk at 254-298-8450, email us at helpdesk@templecollege.edu,  or visit us on the 2nd floor of One College Centre.

 

How to Set Up the FortiVoice App 
  • Open a web browser and visit https://fortivoice.templejc.edu/voice
  • Enter your Extension and TC Password
  • Once logged in, click on the Device icon
  • Under Soft Phones, click on View Mobile Login Information
  • Your QR Code will open in a small window, scan the code to set up the app.
  • For a manual configuration, use the following login information:
  • Server: fortivoice.templejc.edu
  • External Port: 443
  • Username: Your 4 Digit Extension
  • Password: Your TC Password

Cybersecurity Best Practices

How to Create a Strong Password 
  • 1. Do not use sequential numbers or letters: 1234, qwerty, jklm, 6789, etc., are some of the first passwords that bad actors will test.
  • 2. Do not include your birth year or birth month/day in your password: cybercriminals can easily find this information by snooping into your social media accounts or a basic Google search.
  • 3. Use a combination of at least twelve letters, numbers and symbols: the longer your password, the harder it is to guess.
  • 4. Combine different unrelated words in your password or passphrase: choose a passphrase from your favorite song or movie, just make sure it's not popular and easy to guess.
  • 5. Do not use names or words found in the dictionary: simply substitute letters with numbers or symbols to make it difficult to guess.
  • 6. Use a password manager to store your passwords: do not enter your passwords in a document on your computer, ask IT Support team for a password manager tool.
  • 7. Do not reuse your password: we know it's easier to reuse your same password across different platforms, but if your password is breached on a platform, all other accounts may now be compromised.
  • Helpful Note: Please do not include the following information in your password: your pet's name, your birthday or that of a family member, any words related to your hobby, job or interests, part of a home address, your name or the name of a family member.
Recognize Phishing Attempts 
  • Phishing is an attack that attempts to steal your money, or your identity, by getting you to reveal personal information. This includes credit card numbers, bank information, or passwords. Bad actors pretend to be reputable companies, friends, your boss, or acquaintances in a fake message or email. This message or email will contain a link to a Phishing website and the website creates the appearance of being legitimate. If you suspect that an email you received to your 91自拍 email is not legitimate, please click on "Report Message" and select "Phishing." This will notify our team to review the email.

From installing and maintaining AV equipment to offering technical support during classes, our team is dedicated to creating a reliable and tech-savvy learning environment. Our goal is to minimize technical disruptions and maximize the impact of instructional technologies in every classroom, always keeping student and faculty success at the forefront. If you experience an issue with AV equipment or smart TVs in the classroom, please call the Help Desk at 254-298-8450.
