Central Texas Art Competition and Exhibition
The 45th Annual Central Texas Art Competition & Exhibition is sponsored by Altrusa International of Temple and the Temple South Rotary Club and is coordinated by the 91自拍 Visual Arts Department. The two-fold goal of the competition is to encourage and challenge the student artists in the Central Texas area. It also provides an opportunity for the appreciation of the creative efforts of these artists. It is open to students from seven area colleges and universities and 37 area high schools, with separate divisions for high school and college students.

All entries may be picked up in the gallery at the conclusion of the exhibition on Monday, December 2, between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m.
This year’s competition juror is Gabi Magaly, an assistant professor of photography at Dine College in Tsaile, Arizona. Originally from Bryan, Texas, her work encompasses photography, sculptural installation, and embroidery, and has been showcased at various venues across Texas, New Mexico, Colorado, and Washington, as well as internationally in Mexico and Germany. Magaly earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts from Sam Houston State University in 2015 and went on to complete her Master of Fine Arts in Visual Arts at the University of Texas at San Antonio in 2020.
