*This is an in-person course that uses an online platform (D2L) for assignments or supplemental materials. Reliable access to the internet and a computer is required. 91自拍 are required to bring their laptops to class.

This program provides students with the fundamental knowledge and skills needed for a rewarding career in radiography across various medical facilities. By the end of this program, students will be proficient at operating x-ray equipment safely and responsibly. They will be able to perform routine diagnostic x-ray procedures while prioritizing patient safety and rights in adherence to the Texas Medical Board’s guidelines. This course meets for 68 hours of instruction.


Upon successful completion of the course, students will receive a Certificate of Completion and will be eligible for placement on the Texas Medical Board Non-Certified Radiologic Technician Registry.


Course Objectives

• Implement effective infection control procedures in a healthcare setting.
• Execute emergency and safety procedures in patient care scenarios.

• Apply ethical principles in patient care situations.
• Describe the properties and effects of ionizing radiation.
• Identify sources of ionizing radiation and their relevance.
• Analyze the risks associated with exposure to ionizing radiation.
• Explain the effects of radiation on biological systems, particularly with typical medical exposure levels.
• Demonstrate proficiency in measuring and monitoring radiation.
• Implement methods for protecting both personnel and patients from excessive radiation exposure.
• Apply strategies to avoid harmful radiation exposure in the workplace.
• Explain the process of x-ray production and the basic operating procedures of radiographic equipment.
• Emphasize the importance of a quality control program for all radiographic equipment.
• Describe the process of image production in radiography.
• Demonstrate knowledge and skills for producing quality radiographs.
• Analyze factors affecting image acquisition, post-processing, and image quality in digital radiography.
• Study the structures and functions of the human body for imaging purposes.
• Understand a general overview of anatomy, including body planes, radiographic terms, basic biology, and common fractures associated with imaging studies.
• Understand guidelines set in accordance with §194.17 of this chapter (relating to Dangerous or Hazardous Procedures). NCT’s are prohibited from performing radiologic procedures which have been identified as dangerous or hazardous unless they become an LMRT, MRT or a practitioner.

Attendance Policy
The Non-Certified Radiologic Technician program requires 100% attendance. Attendance will be taken at each meeting.

Your tuition must be paid in full at least two weeks before the program ends to receive the Certificate of Completion.

No, Pell Grants and federal student aid cannot be used to pay for our continuing education programs. We strongly encourage students to complete their FAFSA, and apply for the Texas Public Educational Grant (TPEG).

The Texas Public Educational Grant (TPEG) is a state-funded program designed to assist Texas residents with financial need in covering the costs of higher education at public colleges and universities in Texas. 91自拍 must demonstrate financial need as determined by the FAFSA. If approved, TPEG will cover 50% of the tuition for eligible WCE programs.

Continuing Education Units (CEUs) are nationally recognized to record satisfactory completion of certain approved occupationally related programs. Generally one CEU is awarded for each 10 contact hours of instruction included in a specified continuing education program or activity. Successful completion is grade and attendance-based. Eighty percent attendance is required for most classes, but some require 100 percent attendance. Individuals who register for and successfully complete our courses are awarded CEUs.
